the weight-loss conversation drowns out glycaemic control sometimes

comment on small win: food noise stopped being a problem at week 31 in c/semaglutide · 227 points · 1 year ago
Did you time the injection consistently each week or was it more ad hoc?
comment on EMS: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/intlshipping · 4 points · 1 year ago
Actual days or estimated?
comment on A1c: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/t2dglp1 · 11 points · 1 year ago
Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 23–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring T2D at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/t2dglp1 · 20 points · 1 year ago
Yeah, glycaemic control is the original use.
comment on does semaglutide actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/semaglutide · 61 points · 1 year ago

comment on nobody warned me about constipation and I would have liked the warning in c/semaglutide · 812 points · 1 year ago
Mechanistically the bit that matters is titration. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.
comment on [Lab] 2th independent test on QSC, and the trend is the interesting part in c/t2dglp1 · 6 points · 1 year ago

comment on anyone else notice 2.4mg kicking in around week 45 in c/semaglutide · 49 points · 1 year ago
This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.
comment on [Results] 27 weeks, 41kg, and endpoint was the hard part in c/trialwatch · 0 points · 1 year ago
Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring DHL at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/intlshipping · 134 points · 1 year ago
Strongly agree. Customs adds unpredictable delay.
comment on plateau — my 2-week log, condensed into one table in c/semaglutide · 430 points · 1 year ago
This is what I tell everyone in c/newbiequestions and they never believe me until week 43.
