[Discussion] can we stop arguing about glucagon until somebody posts a number

Discussion Receipts ×7 Sourced ×2 Cold Box ×2

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/newbiequestions repeats that dose escalation is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 24 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

the 2.5mg arm is different from 1.0mg, results do not transfer

the dosing is steep, the early fullness reports are real, and nobody knows the human safety yet

Small correction: the trial was 7 weeks, not 36. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Did you actually measure heart rate or is that a feeling?

TRIUMPH data is phase 2, not phase 3, smaller n and shorter

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

nobody should be giving this to anyone without extensive monitoring

What was the dosing schedule in that arm?

phase 2 numbers are not maintenance numbers, cite the trial

the glucagon component changes the side effect profile, not just the efficacy

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 5 weeks to accept.

Are you quoting phase 2 or is there phase 3 data now?

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

About c/retatrutide

Retatrutide: GIP/GLP-1/glucagon triple agonism, the TRIUMPH programme, and the fact that most people discussing it are handling research-grade material with no human-use approval anywhere. Dose-response, heart-rate signal, and the unusually steep phase-2 weight curves get argued about here weekly.
