glycaemic control: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1
Trying to settle this properly because the thread from last year went in circles.
The claim: CGM matters. The counter-claim: it is measurement error. Both sides have been asserting it confidently for about 21 months without either producing anything.
What would actually settle it is 7 people measuring the same thing the same way. I have started; my numbers are below. They lean one way but not strongly enough for me to declare victory.
If you have data, post the data. If you have an opinion, flair it as an opinion.

the weight-loss conversation drowns out glycaemic control sometimes
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
Second this question. I have wondered about CGM for 14 months and never seen a straight answer.
Strongly agree. A1c matters as much as weight.

The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.
CGM traces tell a story, numbers alone do not
Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.
No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.
Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.
This is correct. Hypo risk is real.
Not to be pedantic but T2D and metformin are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Retitled to remove editorialising. Put the evidence in the body.
This is correct. Hypo risk is real.
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
no medication-stopping advice, ever
