body-composition claims need a method

comment on [Discussion] are the c/vendorvetting evidence rules too strict (no) in c/meta · 3 points · 4 days ago

Strongly agree.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 61 weeks to accept.

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

comment on [Results] 61 weeks, 34kg, one very boring spreadsheet in c/semaglutide · 53 points · 12 days ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on [Meta] how the ranking actually works, with the formula in c/meta · 12 points · 14 days ago

Crossposting this to c/newbiequestions because the people who need it are not reading this community.

regain is not a moral failing

comment on genuine question about protein that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1muscle · 38 points · 28 days ago

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

My version: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part. Nobody believes that until they do it.

FFMI tracking requires body composition

Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule

comment on genuine question about lowest effective dose that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/maintenancephase · 56 points · 2 months ago

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

What colour is the pen? Wegovy and Ozempic use different formulations.

comment on the meta question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/meta · 8 points · 3 months ago

Came off after 62 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

comment on [PSA] disclosure is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/meta · -10 points · 4 months ago

Small correction: the trial was 22 weeks, not 8. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

You have restated the marketing copy.

Disagree on that part. 98.1% and 97.6% on the same vial is normal.
