anyone else notice lean mass kicking in around week 75

Training Long Haul ×8 Sourced ×1

Trying to settle this properly because the thread from last year went in circles.

The claim: resistance training matters. The counter-claim: it is measurement error. Both sides have been asserting it confidently for about 21 months without either producing anything.

What would actually settle it is 15 people measuring the same thing the same way. I have started; my numbers are below. They lean one way but not strongly enough for me to declare victory.

If you have data, post the data. If you have an opinion, flair it as an opinion.

sarcopenia is the unsolved question

The fatigue was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.

sarcopenia is the unsolved question

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

rapid loss plus no protein equals muscle loss

Adding to this: protein is doing more work than the comment implies.

Yeah, protein matters on rapid loss.

This is correct. DEXA is the standard.

Which country? Half the answers in this thread only apply in Canada.

  1. Body-composition claims need a method. Bathroom BIA scales are not a method.
  2. Protein targets in g/kg, not "lots".
  3. No supplement selling, no coaching solicitation.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
