satiety — 14 things I got wrong before I got it right
Been lurking in c/cryptopay for about 17 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 48, 1.0mg, and REDEFINE is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 13 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 42.
best — the order this archive was captured in
This is correct. The co-agonism is real.
Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.
Not to be pedantic but cagrilintide and amylin are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.
Yeah, amylin is doing different work than GLP-1.
The satiety on amylin analogs is described as physically different. GLP-1 reduces appetite noise, amylin does amylin.
REDEFINE readouts are phase 10 data
Strongly agree. REDEFINE is phase 7, not final.
Strongly agree.
Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.
CagriSema is a fixed combo in trials, not user-mixed
This is correct. The co-agonism is real.
the amylin agonist pool is small, community is amylin
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
amylin is not a GLP-1, posts conflating them get corrected
research use only, no human protocols in posts
amylin receptor distribution is different from GLP-1
REDEFINE phase 3 readouts are interesting but 3 person cagrilintide is different from 3 trial cagrilintide.
REDEFINE which arm?
amylin receptor distribution is different from GLP-1
Slight fix: the number was 99.0, not 98.9. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
