comment on the STEP question that gets asked weekly, answered properly in c/trialwatch · 59 points · 1 year ago

SELECT reported a hazard ratio hazard ratio but the absolute event rate is what changes clinical practice.

food noise returns but not always immediately

Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

Yeah, maintenance is the boring part and the important part.

comment on [Results] 46 weeks on 1.0mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/semaglutide · 175 points · 1 year ago

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

comment on nobody warned me about fatigue and I would have liked the warning in c/sideeffects · 275 points · 1 year ago

Same experience. Week 50 and it simply stopped. I know that is not useful information but it is what happened.

nobody should be giving this to anyone without extensive monitoring

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about STEP until somebody posts a number in c/trialwatch · 28 points · 2 years ago

Yeah, absolute numbers matter more than the press release.

Disagree on that part. 95.1% and 97.4% on the same vial is normal.

comment on does retatrutide actually matter or is it forum lore at this point in c/retatrutide · 148 points · 2 years ago

Not to be pedantic but TRIUMPH and dose escalation are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Disagree on that part. 95.1% and 97.6% on the same vial is normal.

Small correction: the trial was 15 weeks, not 33. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

comment on switched from 1.0mg to 2.5mg and the fatigue got better, not worse in c/retatrutide · 5 points · 2 years ago

retatrutide is not approved anywhere for human use, posts must not read as instructions

the glucagon component changes the side effect profile, not just the efficacy

Are you on a pen or research vial? The formulation changes the profile.

comment on week 56 check-in — 46kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/retatrutide · 0 points · 2 years ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on [Vendor] QST order #19 — Denmark, 21 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/sideeffects · 14 points · 2 years ago

Did the injection-site soreness start before or after the dose increase?

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 18–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

comment on [Results] 72 weeks, 31kg, and Wegovy was the hard part in c/semaglutide · 39 points · 2 years ago

Did you time the injection consistently each week or was it more ad hoc?

permalink

comment on anyone else notice phase 2 kicking in around week 30 in c/retatrutide · 1 points · 2 years ago

This is correct. Triple agonism is genuinely different.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.
