comment on why does nobody talk about appetite in c/glp1science · 1 points · 1 year ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

This is correct.

Adding to this: compounding is doing more work than the comment implies.

Strongly agree. API source transparency matters.

API transparency is the question that separates good compounders from sketchy ones

Yeah, the incretin mechanism is doing the work here.

Strongly agree.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.

I am going to push back on this slightly.

Asked 24 compounders about API source. One told me, one dodged, one said they cannot say. The answer is the signal.

The 503A pharmacy I used lost their shortage list eligibility. Same day, compounding became illegal. Rules are real.

The telehealth + compounding combo cost API source plus 23% markup. Not cheap but covered by insurance depending on state.

Are we talking 503A or 503B?

This is correct. Rodent data is investigational, not predictive.
