[Discussion] the T2D advice in here is 16 years out of date

Discussion Clean Column ×1

Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.

I have been tracking T2D against ApoB for 29 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.

Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.

tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.

Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

hypoglycaemia risk when stacked with A1c

Strongly agree. A1c matters as much as weight.

Strongly agree.

Adding to this: glycaemic control is doing more work than the comment implies.

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

Maintenance for 10 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.

CGM traces tell a story, numbers alone do not

Yeah, glycaemic control is the original use.

Three years on this site and the questions have not changed at all. Which is depressing or reassuring depending on the day.

Week 84 for me and the honest summary is: 15kg down, constipation manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

About c/t2dglp1

Type 2 diabetes as the original indication: A1c trajectories, CGM traces, hypoglycaemia risk when stacked with sulfonylureas or insulin, metformin combinations, and why the weight-loss conversation sometimes drowns out the glycaemic one.
