France: survodutide, and what it actually costs here

Caution Long Haul ×4 Sourced ×3

Confession thread, sort of.

I went from 1.0mg to 15mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 14 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.

So now I have constipation I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.

Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 86 reads it before doing the same thing.

glucagon injection is a different vector than GLP-1

Small correction: the trial was 21 weeks, not 10. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Hepatic fat or MASH or what?

phase 24 data is interesting, phase 32 will be different

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

I am going to push back on this slightly.

Yeah, glucagon co-agonism is genuinely different.

Maintenance for 8 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.

Flair changed to match the content. Read the sidebar before posting next time and we are square.

the GLP-1/glucagon dual is hepatic fat, different from GIP/GLP-1

replysharereportpermalink
u/vikram_mbeki15 points·1 year ago

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 3 weeks to accept.

the MASH indication changes the risk calculus

Slight fix: the number was 98.7, not 98.3. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is glucagon. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

c/survodutide rules
  1. Glucagon co-agonism has a distinct safety story. Do not generalise from tirzepatide.
  2. MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint.
  3. Not approved. Descriptive posts only.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
