small win: dose escalation stopped being a problem at week 95

Discussion

Confession thread, sort of.

I went from 10mg to 2.5mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 8 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.

So now I have injection-site soreness I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.

Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 38 reads it before doing the same thing.

This is an urgent-care question wearing a forum question's clothes. Please contact a clinician rather than waiting for replies.

This is correct. Triple agonism is genuinely different.

the dosing is steep, the sulphur burps reports are real, and nobody knows the human safety yet

TRIUMPH data is phase 2, not phase 3, smaller n and shorter

What was the dosing schedule in that arm?

Yeah, phase 2 retatrutide is interesting but it is not comparable to phase 3 compounds.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

the weight curves are unusually steep, which makes predicting individual response harder

u/quiet_moderatormod1 point·2 months ago

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

triple agonism plus glucagon is a different physiological state than GIP/GLP-1 dual

Crossposting this to c/glp1uk because the people who need it are not reading this community.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

About c/retatrutide

Retatrutide: GIP/GLP-1/glucagon triple agonism, the TRIUMPH programme, and the fact that most people discussing it are handling research-grade material with no human-use approval anywhere. Dose-response, heart-rate signal, and the unusually steep phase-2 weight curves get argued about here weekly.
