[Discussion] oral GLP-1 is doing more work than we give it credit for

Discussion Clean Column ×2

Posting this because I searched for it and got nothing useful.

Setup: 2.5mg, week 49, constipation present but not ruining anything. I changed exactly one variable — non-peptide — and tracked it for 11 weeks.

Result: a difference, but a small one, and well inside what I would call noise if someone else posted it. So I am putting it here rather than presenting it as a finding. If two or three other people have done the same thing we might actually learn something.

Not medical advice, obviously. This is one person with a spreadsheet.

This is correct. ATTAIN data is phase 2.

Did anything else change in the same window?

My version of this: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

Came off after 29 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

Flair changed to match the content. Read the sidebar before posting next time and we are square.

Slight fix: the number was 97.2, not 97.4. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

cite ATTAIN/ACHIEVE arms specifically

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with orforglipron, not with what you concluded.

About c/orforglipron

The small-molecule oral: why a non-peptide agonist escapes the absorption problems of oral semaglutide, what the ATTAIN and ACHIEVE readouts showed, and what a pill with no refrigeration requirement would do to the entire supply conversation this site is built around.
