[Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on non-peptide

Question Clean Column ×3 Sourced ×2

Trying to settle this properly because the thread from last year went in circles.

The claim: small molecule matters. The counter-claim: it is measurement error. Both sides have been asserting it confidently for about 10 months without either producing anything.

What would actually settle it is 5 people measuring the same thing the same way. I have started; my numbers are below. They lean one way but not strongly enough for me to declare victory.

If you have data, post the data. If you have an opinion, flair it as an opinion.

I love that this community will spend 40 comments on a detail. That pedantry is why the numbers here matter.

Strongly agree. The supply impact would be huge.

ATTAIN and ACHIEVE are phase 20 trials

oral non-peptide agonist is non-peptide, no food restrictions

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

This is correct. ATTAIN data is phase 7.

Stalled for 5 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 49.

the absorption problem is solved by non-peptide structure

Yeah, small molecule changes the whole game.

Mechanistically the bit that matters is oral GLP-1. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.

no cold chain means ATTAIN, if approved

Not to be pedantic but non-peptide and ACHIEVE are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 79 weeks to accept.

Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 15. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

The constipation was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

Adding to this: non-peptide is doing more work than the comment implies.

The small-molecule oral: why a non-peptide agonist escapes the absorption problems of oral semaglutide, what the ATTAIN and ACHIEVE readouts showed, and what a pill with no refrigeration requirement would do to the entire supply conversation this site is built around.
