comment on [Results] 16 weeks on 7.5mg, full numbers, ask me anything boring in c/bloodwork · 85 points · 1 year ago
HOMA-IR is crude but free and useful for tracking
Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

triple agonism plus glucagon is a different physiological state than GIP/GLP-1 dual

nobody should be giving this to anyone without extensive monitoring

Dose escalation on retatrutide is steeper and faster than on semaglutide. Do not assume the titration patterns transfer.
comment on [Results] 12 weeks, 25kg, and FFMI was the hard part in c/glp1muscle · 11 points · 1 year ago
Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points.
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 69 weeks to accept.
comment on small win: tapering stopped being a problem at week 30 in c/tapering · 1 points · 1 year ago
STEP 1 and SURMOUNT-4 discontinuation arms show regain
Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.
comment on dead space — 17 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/reconstitution · 26 points · 1 year ago
never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration
comment on why does nobody talk about related substances in c/coa · 7 points · 1 year ago
What were the related substances listed individually?
comment on what would you tell week-1 you about lipids in c/bloodwork · 23 points · 1 year ago
post reference ranges with your numbers, units differ by country and lab
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring certificate of analysis at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/coa · 19 points · 1 year ago
axis labels included, always
comment on stalled for 9 weeks at 10mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/coa · 42 points · 1 year ago
the related substances line is where the story is
comment on switched from 0.25mg to 15mg and the injection-site soreness got better, not worse in c/reconstitution · 32 points · 1 year ago
Dead space ate 22 units on a low-volume draw. Tiny impact at 15mg, massive impact at 0.5mg.
comment on [Discussion] we are measuring bloodwork at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/bloodwork · 70 points · 1 year ago
This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.
comment on [Results] 2 weeks, 11kg, and glucagon was the hard part in c/retatrutide · 2 points · 1 year ago
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
comment on reading batch threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/coa · 1 points · 1 year ago
Asked BCH for the batch-specific COA and they sent it within six hours, full document, batch number, date, everything.
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 72 weeks to accept.
comment on reading batch threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/coa · 186 points · 1 year ago
Slight fix: the number was 97.4, not 97.2. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
comment on help me understand appetite return, I have read the wiki twice in c/tapering · 80 points · 1 year ago
Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.
comment on help me understand appetite return, I have read the wiki twice in c/tapering · 12 points · 1 year ago
Mechanistically the bit that matters is tapering. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.
comment on three years of insulin syringe threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/reconstitution · 162 points · 1 year ago
u-100 syringe, not u-40, or your math is off by factor of 5
comment on [PSA] TRIUMPH is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/retatrutide · 69 points · 1 year ago
retatrutide is not approved anywhere for human use, posts must not read as instructions
