what changed for me between week 65 and week 19
Been lurking in c/compounding for about 24 months and finally have something worth posting.
Short version: week 80, 7.5mg, and GIP is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 7 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.
What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 74.
best — the order this archive was captured in
the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point
the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point
Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 91 weeks to accept.
dual agonism is dual agonist, do not generalise from semaglutide
Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with Zepbound, not with what you concluded.
SURMOUNT data is messier than STEP data but the weight loss is there
Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.
the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose
dual agonism is Mounjaro, do not generalise from semaglutide
the the food-noise thing from tirz is different, not necessarily worse
Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference
week 77 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema
Switched from sema at 2.5mg to tirz at 5mg. Different drugs, cannot compare the doses directly.
Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.
No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.
What was the trial arm you are quoting from? SURMOUNT-1, -2, -3 are all different.
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.
This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 94.2% body weight at 8 weeks.
dual agonism is Mounjaro, do not generalise from semaglutide
Cosigning. The GIP contribution is real and the side effects are not simply scaled versions.
How long at each step before you escalated?
