comment on interesting rodent data, almost no human data, both things are true in c/bpc157 · 2 points · 17 hr ago

Strongly agree. Zero human controlled data.

Crossposting to c/coldchain with the author's permission. We have very little published data on real-world reconstituted degradation and this is a data point, even an accidental one.

It is also the second accidental data point on real-world reconstituted degradation this quarter, and there is almost none of it published. Crossposting with permission.

Correct flair. Packaging failure and product failure are different events and this community should keep counting them separately — a vendor whose packaging fails and whose product survives is telling you they have got lucky with a robust molecule, not that they have solved the problem.

Logged for the summer table.

comment on [Data] logger trace: 6 days transit, 41 hours above 8°C, powder was fine in c/coldchain · 367 points · 3 days ago

This is the reference post for the community and I am stickying it. One thing to underline because it gets missed: the pack exhausting by hour 30 is by design on a six-day lane. A gel pack is not meant to last the whole trip; it is meant to buy you the first day while the parcel is still warm from the origin.

People treat a liquid gel pack as evidence of failure. It is evidence of a finite coolant budget being spent.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.

comment on reconstituted vial left out for five hours — bin it or not in c/coldchain · 132 points · 4 days ago

Leaving this up as a reference question. The powder-versus-solution distinction is the most useful single idea in this community and this thread is a clean worked example of applying it.

Yeah, dual agonism does produce a different appetite profile than GLP-1 alone.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 78 weeks to accept.

How long at each step before you escalated?

Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

Yeah, phase 2 retatrutide is interesting but it is not comparable to phase 3 compounds.

Peak temperature and how long at that temperature?

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

the GIP side does different things than the GLP-1 side, that is the point

This is correct. Variance is the story.
