[Meta] proposal — a flair for tirzepatide posts
Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.
I have been tracking SURMOUNT against ApoB for 3 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.
Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.
tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.
best — the order this archive was captured in
This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 97.9% body weight at 18 weeks.
Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.
Yeah, dual agonism does produce a different appetite profile than GLP-1 alone.
SURMOUNT data is messier than STEP data but the weight loss is there
nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing
Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.
That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 71 weeks to accept.
week 28 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema
stalled on sema, tried tirz, and the curves were actually different shapes
This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 96.2% body weight at 22 weeks.
