bloodwork — my 15-week log, condensed into one table

Discussion Clean Column ×2 Sourced ×1

Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.

I have been tracking bloodwork against eGFR for 31 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.

Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.

tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.

Flair changed to match the content. Read the sidebar before posting next time and we are square.

Same lab both times?

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

HOMA-IR is crude but free and useful for tracking

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

What are your reference ranges?

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

Ferritin tanked from 16 to 25. Small appetite, reduced iron intake, nobody was testing it until I asked.

Ferritin tanked from 16 to 25.

Adding to this: ApoB is doing more work than the comment implies.

Small correction: the trial was 10 weeks, not 8. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

I am going to push back on this slightly.

ferritin tanks quietly on a reduced appetite, check it

Do you have baseline to compare to?

A1c moves slowly, quarterly is plenty
