while we are here: can we get a flair between Question and Discussion for posts that are really "argue with me"

comment on [Meta] should this community rename "maintenance phase" to something that doesn’t sound like an afterthought in c/maintenancephase · 3 points · 3 days ago

tangential but a "Floor Hunting" flair might genuinely be worth adding given how often that specific topic comes up here

comment on [Milestone] 18 months, at goal for a year of that, and the weirdest part was after the number stopped moving in c/progresspics · 2 points · 3 days ago

correctly flaired Milestone too, small thing but I appreciate it

comment on [Meta] should titration questions get a megathread or is that overkill in c/newbiequestions · 11 points · 3 days ago

slightly off topic but half these threads are also missing the Titration flair when they'd qualify, that would help sorting on its own

comment on [Paper] receptor distribution and why the GI effects were predictable in c/glp1science · 33 points · 6 days ago

The pharmacology literature is interesting but rodent models do not scale linearly to human dosing.

My triglycerides went from 17 to 11 in 56 weeks. The bloodwork story shows up in the trend, not the single number.

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

comment on [Baseline] units differ by country, post your reference ranges or nobody can help in c/bloodwork · -21 points · 15 days ago

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring small molecule at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/orforglipron · 1 points · 1 months ago

What was the batch number and which service?

comment on ALT — 6 things I got wrong before I got it right in c/bloodwork · 13 points · 1 months ago

HOMA-IR is crude but free and useful for tracking

comment on someone explain receptor to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/glp1science · 23 points · 1 months ago

This is correct. Rodent data is investigational, not predictive.

permalink

comment on help me understand A1c, I have read the wiki twice in c/bloodwork · 11 points · 1 months ago

This is correct.

Disagree on that part. 99.3% and 93.7% on the same vial is normal.

comment on [PSA] ATTAIN is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/orforglipron · 1 points · 1 months ago

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

What are you comparing it against though?

comment on am I the only one who found incretin harder than the injections in c/glp1science · 2 points · 1 months ago

Small correction: the trial was 12 weeks, not 18. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with small molecule, not with what you concluded.
