stalled for 8 weeks at 12.5mg and I refuse to panic this time

Baseline Clean Column ×6 Slow Clap ×2

eGFR. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/orforglipron is downstream of it. Titration speed, reflux, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort eGFR out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 2 months. My fasting insulin was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

A1c moves slowly, quarterly is plenty

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

Do you have baseline to compare to?

nobody here can tell you what a result means for you

Strongly agree. ALT is where you catch the liver story early.

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

baseline is the most important eGFR measurement, you cannot collect it later

eGFR noise during rapid loss is expected

Ferritin tanked from 4 to 36. Small appetite, reduced iron intake, nobody was testing it until I asked.

HOMA-IR is crude but free and useful for tracking

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

eGFR from 20 to 22 is movement, not noise

What are your reference ranges?

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

Baseline ferritin: 97.6. Week 77: 98.0. Same lab, fasted, same time of day. Trend matters.

Tracking number removed. It identifies both ends of a shipment.

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

Small correction: the trial was 18 weeks, not 28. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

About c/bloodwork

What to measure before you start, what to re-measure, and how to interpret movement without panicking. ApoB over LDL-C, HOMA-IR as a crude free tool, ALT and the fatty-liver story, eGFR noise during rapid loss, and the deficiencies that a 1,100-calorie appetite will hand you.
