comment on reta phase 2 was -24.2% at 48 weeks and people quote it like it is a maintenance number in c/retatrutide · 85 points · 2 days ago

The heart rate signal in TRIUMPH is real and concerning. Higher doses had higher mean HR changes.

Yeah, phase 2 retatrutide is interesting but it is not comparable to phase 3 compounds.

Yeah, the incretin mechanism is doing the work here.

comment on is anyone tracking heart rate properly on reta or are we all guessing in c/retatrutide · 32 points · 5 days ago

nobody should be giving this to anyone without extensive monitoring

eGFR noise on rapid loss is real.

Disagree on that part. 97.9% and 97.6% on the same vial is normal.

comment on the dose escalation thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/retatrutide · 14 points · 18 days ago

Slight fix: the number was 97.6, not 97.9. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

baseline is the most important A1c measurement, you cannot collect it later

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

Where does the incretin data actually come from?

phase 2 numbers are not maintenance numbers, cite the trial

comment on interval stretching is the most under-discussed thing in c/progresspics in c/tapering · 34 points · 1 months ago

Not to be pedantic but discontinuation and appetite return are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Week 69 for me and the honest summary is: 42kg down, nausea manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

Came off after 69 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

nobody here can tell you what a result means for you

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.
