switched from 1.0mg to 0.5mg and the injection-site soreness got better, not worse

Regain Receipts ×2 Well Actually ×3

Something I noticed reading old threads that I have not seen said out loud.

The advice on dose stretching in this community changed substantially around the start of last year, and nobody went back and updated the older posts. So depending on which thread the search engine hands you, you get two contradictory answers with the same confidence.

I have listed what I think the current consensus is below. Correct me — that is the point of posting it.

weight moves within 12kg and that is normal

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 13–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

The plateau is real and boring. 92 weeks at the same weight, then movement again. Patience was the intervention.

Weight variance within what range?

the 1.7mg dose works fine for 55 weeks of the month

the lowest dose you can stay on is not the lowest dose that works

This is correct. Weight variance is normal at maintenance.

lowest effective dose is dose stretching, find it or stay higher

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

the 0.25mg dose works fine for 38 weeks of the month

Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.

Tried the lowest-effective approach. 7.5mg worked for 10 weeks, then cravings returned. 10mg was the actual floor.

This is an urgent-care question wearing a forum question's clothes. Please contact a clinician rather than waiting for replies.

Small correction: the trial was 23 weeks, not 25. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

Small correction: the trial was 23 weeks, not 25.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 91 weeks to accept.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.

c/maintenancephase rules
  1. State how long you have been at maintenance. "Maintenance" at week 30 is not maintenance.
  2. Regain is not a moral failing and posts implying it is get removed.
  3. Dose-stretching experiences welcome; dose-stretching instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
