goal weight is the most under-discussed thing in c/trialwatch

Discussion The Quiet One ×3

Been lurking in c/retatrutide for about 23 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 93, 1.0mg, and lowest effective dose is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 13 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 4.

Regain on a taper is expected. 14% back over 28 weeks, which matches the discontinuation data. Planned for it.

Weight variance within what range?

Did you stretch the dose interval?

Did you stretch the dose interval?

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Strongly agree. Lowest effective dose is a real discovery process.

Yeah, maintenance is the boring part and the important part.

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

regain is not a moral failing

Rodent data is rodent data.

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 18 weeks to accept.

About c/maintenancephase

The part nobody posts about: what happens at goal weight. Finding a lowest effective dose, dose-interval stretching, regain risk data, muscle retention, the psychology of not having a number to chase, and staying on indefinitely versus tapering.

  1. State how long you have been at maintenance. "Maintenance" at week 30 is not maintenance.
  2. Regain is not a moral failing and posts implying it is get removed.
  3. Dose-stretching experiences welcome; dose-stretching instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
