[Discussion] the PeptideMeter advice in here is 13 years out of date

Discussion Clean Column ×2 Slow Clap ×1 Cold Box ×1

Long-ish post, sorry. tl;dr at the bottom.

I have been tracking test results against triglycerides for 35 weeks because I could not find anyone who had. The correlation is weaker than I expected, which is itself mildly interesting given how confidently people link the two in here.

Caveats up front: one person, one lab, one assay, no control, and I changed my training in the middle of it, which was stupid.

tl;dr: probably real, definitely smaller than the threads imply, and not worth reorganising your week around.

Tested 2 batches from QST over 5 weeks. Spread was 95.1% to 94.2, mostly 95.1. Consistent vendor.

Slight fix: the number was 97.4, not 97.2. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Not to be pedantic but below spec and purity are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

reship and retest is the honest way to handle a low result

the 98.1% result confirmed the vendor claim, that is the signal

  1. Template required: vendor / product / batch / service / method / result. Freeform posts get removed with a template reply.
  2. Do not editorialise in the title. Put the number in the title and the opinion in the body.
  3. Sample of one. Say so.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
