small win: dual agonist stopped being a problem at week 41

Lab Clean Column ×3

Been lurking in c/compounding for about 7 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 39, 15mg, and GIP is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 23 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 33.

The dual agonism story is real. The appetite is physically different from semaglutide alone.

Week 4 on Mounjaro and 20kg down. The appetite reduction feels different from sema in ways I do not have words for yet.

How long at each step before you escalated?

Disagree on that part. 98.1% and 98.3% on the same vial is normal.

week 18 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema

the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose

Is that on Mounjaro pens or research tirzepatide?

About c/tirzepatide

Tirzepatide-specific discussion: the dual-agonist pharmacology, the 2.5 → 15mg ladder, the appetite profile people describe as different from semaglutide, and the SURMOUNT/SURPASS trial programme. Comparisons with semaglutide are welcome as long as they are specific about dose equivalence being unknown.

c/tirzepatide rules
  1. "Tirz is better than sema" needs a comparator dose or it is a vibe, not a claim.
  2. Vial-splitting and self-compounding discussion stays in c/reconstitution.
  3. No pen-cracking tutorials. Discussing that people do it is fine; instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
