6 months in and glucagon is still the thing I get wrong

Question Clean Column ×1

Posting this because I searched for it and got nothing useful.

Setup: 10mg, week 13, injection-site soreness present but not ruining anything. I changed exactly one variable — hepatic fat — and tracked it for 7 weeks.

Result: a difference, but a small one, and well inside what I would call noise if someone else posted it. So I am putting it here rather than presenting it as a finding. If two or three other people have done the same thing we might actually learn something.

Not medical advice, obviously. This is one person with a spreadsheet.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Retitled to remove editorialising. Put the evidence in the body.

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

Came off after 53 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.

Maintenance for 13 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.

Strongly agree. The safety story is separate.

the GLP-1/glucagon dual is MASH, different from GIP/GLP-1

glucagon injection is a different vector than GLP-1

Disagree on that part. 98.1% and 98.3% on the same vial is normal.

Not to be pedantic but MASH and glucagon are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Small correction: the trial was 18 weeks, not 24. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint

MASH claims need the trial and the biopsy endpoint

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 14 weeks to accept.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.
