help me understand MASH, I have read the wiki twice

Discussion Long Haul ×9 Receipts ×2

Quick one. Canada here.

MASH works very differently where I live than in the threads that dominate the front page, and I keep seeing people confidently given advice that simply does not apply outside the US.

Specifics: the route I used took 11 weeks and cost roughly what I expected. The admin was worse than the cost. The thing that would have saved me the most time was knowing which document to ask for at the start.

Happy to answer questions from anyone in the same jurisdiction.

The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.

Yeah, glucagon co-agonism is genuinely different.

Week 51 for me and the honest summary is: 47kg down, the food-noise thing manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

My version of this: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part.

hepatic fat and MASH are the story

Strongly agree. The safety story is separate.

the GLP-1/glucagon dual is hepatic fat, different from GIP/GLP-1

I am going to push back on this slightly.

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

the MASH indication changes the risk calculus

Small correction: the trial was 13 weeks, not 17. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

Phase 24 or 40?

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

This is correct. Do not generalise from tirzepatide.
