[Meta] proposal — a flair for units posts

PSA Receipts ×1 Well Actually ×2 Cold Box ×3

mg/mL. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/glp1muscle is downstream of it. Titration speed, muscle cramps, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort mg/mL out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 16 months. My hs-CRP was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Reconstituted at 2mL when I meant 18mL. Caught it because the units looked wrong. Write the concentration.

The single most useful thing I did was write the concentration on the vial. Stopped all the confusion after that.

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration

This is correct. 2mL versus 22mL is the common mistake.

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

Are you using a u-100 or u-40 syringe? That changes everything.

the concentration on the vial in marker is the most important step

About c/reconstitution

The arithmetic and the technique. Bacteriostatic versus sterile water, reconstitution volume as a concentration choice, converting mg/mL into insulin-syringe units, dead space, swirl-not-shake, stopper coring, and how long a reconstituted vial is actually good for. Math errors get corrected fast and politely.

c/reconstitution rules
  1. Show your numbers. "How many units?" with no mg and no mL cannot be answered.
  2. Never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration it assumes.
  3. No sterile-compounding-for-others discussion. Personal handling only.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
