regret is the most under-discussed thing in c/newbiequestions
Confession thread, sort of.
I went from 10mg to 2.5mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 6 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.
So now I have sulphur burps I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.
Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 2 reads it before doing the same thing.
best — the order this archive was captured in
No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.
the 20 order that disappeared from GL Biochem
Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.
Second this question. I have wondered about lost money for 21 months and never seen a straight answer.
Came off after 8 weeks for financial reasons. Regained about a third over the following year. Back on now at a much lower dose.
Did anything else change in the same window?
heavily moderated for cruelty, not pessimism
Second this question. I have wondered about failure for 12 months and never seen a straight answer.
The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.
Week 15 for me and the honest summary is: 48kg down, nausea manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

Disagree on that part. 97.4% and 95.1% on the same vial is normal.
money lost to group buys
Ireland here. Waited 16 months on a list, gave up, went private, and the total cost was roughly what I expected.
Maintenance for 12 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.
This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.
Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 3–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.
Strongly agree. No piling on.
failures, regrets, things that went wrong
failures, regrets, things that went wrong
Disagree on that part. 99.0% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.
Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.
Small correction: the trial was 11 weeks, not 30. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
Slight fix: the number was 98.7, not 98.7. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.
