[Question] crypto — what am I missing here

Question Well Actually ×4 Sourced ×3

Something I noticed reading old threads that I have not seen said out loud.

The advice on crypto in this community changed substantially around the start of last year, and nobody went back and updated the older posts. So depending on which thread the search engine hands you, you get two contradictory answers with the same confidence.

I have listed what I think the current consensus is below. Correct me — that is the point of posting it.

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.

Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.

no group-buy recruitment, discussing how they fail is fine

This is correct. Gas fees are real costs.

Adding to this: confirmations is doing more work than the comment implies.

Strongly agree. Escrow is non-negotiable for groups.

Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.

USDC exists on 16 networks, vendor credits are network-specific

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

Yeah, the network selection matters most.

Sent orfo payment to the wrong chain. Germany, wrong network, vendor could not credit it. 6 day lesson.

Disagree on that part. 93.7% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

confirmations are crypto, the exchange rate at 14 blocks is the deal

Group buy used escrow. 16 people, 3 shipped without drama. Escrow is the insurance.

What was the gas and did it matter?

Disagree on that part. 94.2% and 95.1% on the same vial is normal.

Every time this gets posted it hits the front page and every time someone has to re-explain it.
