[Discussion] we are measuring stability at the wrong time and calling it noise

Discussion Clean Column ×5

data logger. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/researchpeptides is downstream of it. Titration speed, muscle cramps, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort data logger out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 6 months. My hs-CRP was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

Peak temperature and how long at that temperature?

gel packs last 3 hours, after that you are relying on the box itself

Slight fix: the number was 98.7, not 99.3. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

Canada to Canada: 23 days with JEEP and 40 days with SSA. Same route, different carriers, variance is real.

Not to be pedantic but stability and lyophilised are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

Reconstituted or dry powder?

Strongly agree. Peak temperature is not the whole story.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

u/chidi_yilmaz10 points·1 year ago

This is correct. Dry powder is way more robust than liquid.

lyophilised powder is far more forgiving than reconstituted solution

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with packaging, not with what you concluded.

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

The gel pack lasted 3 hours in a courier van, then liquid. Powder itself fine, the cold chain mostly died in transit.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with ice pack, not with what you concluded.

Reconstituted or dry powder?

u/preservative_free_p0 points·1 year ago

a warm courier van is a bigger problem for a mixed vial than for dry powder

lane reports need origin, destination, carrier, and actual transit days

About c/coldchain

Temperature and stability in the real world: what an excursion actually costs you, why lyophilised powder is far more forgiving than reconstituted solution, how to read a logger CSV, and how to photograph a failed shipment so the conversation with the vendor is short.

c/coldchain rules
  1. Excursion claims need a logger trace or a photo taken at unboxing. "It felt warm" is not data.
  2. No tracking numbers, ever. They identify you and the recipient.
  3. Stability claims need a source or an explicit "this is my guess" label.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
