tried interval stretching for 2 weeks. here is what happened.

Trial Data Clean Column ×3 The Quiet One ×2

Confession thread, sort of.

I went from 1.0mg to 15mg much faster than I should have because the scale had stalled and I got impatient. The stall broke about 13 weeks later, at which point I had no way of knowing whether the dose increase did anything or whether it would have broken anyway.

So now I have reflux I did not need and a data point I cannot interpret. Two lessons in one.

Posting it in the hope that somebody at week 50 reads it before doing the same thing.

Disagree on that part. 97.4% and 98.7% on the same vial is normal.

How many weeks between the two measurements?

the regain is treatment of chronic condition ending, not failure

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 36 weeks to accept.

What are you comparing it against though?

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Small correction: the trial was 22 weeks, not 36. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

the 22 week discontinuation arm is the data

Disagree on that part. 99.0% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

You have restated the marketing copy.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Yeah, regain is not a failure.

The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.

About c/tapering

Stopping on purpose: dose reduction versus interval stretching, what the discontinuation arms of STEP 1 and SURMOUNT-4 actually showed about regain, appetite return timelines, and the people who came off, regained, and went back on without treating it as a failure.
