week 46 check-in — 37kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me
Quick one. Canada here.
discontinuation works very differently where I live than in the threads that dominate the front page, and I keep seeing people confidently given advice that simply does not apply outside the US.
Specifics: the route I used took 16 weeks and cost roughly what I expected. The admin was worse than the cost. The thing that would have saved me the most time was knowing which document to ask for at the start.
Happy to answer questions from anyone in the same jurisdiction.

Disagree on that part. 96.8% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.
the regain is treatment of chronic condition ending, not failure
cite the discontinuation data rather than guessing regain rates
I am going to push back on this slightly.
no shaming people who restart
say how long you were on and at what dose before taper
The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.
Titration speed is a side-effect dial far more than an efficacy dial.
the 22 week discontinuation arm is the data
Did anything else change in the same window?
the people who came off and restarted without shame
Yeah, regain is not a failure.
the 16 week discontinuation arm is the data
This is correct. Discontinuation data is real.
Sceptical. If this were true we would see it reflected in the data and we do not.
