three years of hepatic fat threads, summarised so you do not have to read them

Trial Data Well Actually ×2

Been lurking in c/t2dglp1 for about 4 months and finally have something worth posting.

Short version: week 44, 2.4mg, and hepatic fat is the bit I still cannot get a straight answer on. I have read the wiki, I have read the last 9 threads, and the answers split roughly down the middle.

What I actually want to know is whether the people saying it does not matter have measured it, or whether it is just repeated confidently. Happy to be told I am overthinking this — I probably am — but I would rather overthink it now than at week 38.

glucagon co-agonism has a different safety story

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with biopsy, not with what you concluded.

The injection-site soreness was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.

Yeah, glucagon co-agonism is genuinely different.

Week 38 for me and the honest summary is: 4kg down, muscle cramps manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

Hepatic fat or MASH or what?

the GLP-1/glucagon dual is hepatic fat, different from GIP/GLP-1

My version of this: I was so worried about the injection that I put it off for eleven days. The injection is the easiest part.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

This is correct. Do not generalise from tirzepatide.

Disagree on that part. 96.8% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

Phase 12 or 9?

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Flair changed to match the content. Read the sidebar before posting next time and we are square.

Strongly agree. The safety story is separate.
