[Discussion] we are measuring reflux at the wrong time and calling it noise

Discussion Well Actually ×2

Genuinely asking, not being difficult.

Everyone in c/vendorvetting repeats that fatigue is important. I believe it, but I have never seen anyone show why, and when I search I get 22 threads of people agreeing with each other.

Is there a paper? Is there a measurement? Or is this one of those things that is true because it has been repeated since 2023?

I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source.

early fullness at 1.0mg is different from 0.25mg

Adding to this: heart rate is doing more work than the comment implies.

the food-noise thing stops around week 39 for most people

Disagree on that part. 99.0% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

Are you on a pen or research vial? The formulation changes the profile.

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

This is correct. The fatigue is horrible for three weeks and then just ends.

sulphur burps are disgusting but not dangerous, 18 weeks and they stopped

No. This is the kind of confident post that gets copied into a screenshot and repeated for years. Where is the evidence.

nausea on day 2 is normal, nausea after week 29 is worth checking

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

The evidence standard in c/vendorvetting gets called too strict about once a month, and every time, the thread ends with the complainant agreeing.

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
