help me understand units, I have read the wiki twice

PSA Cold Box ×9 Slow Clap ×2 Clean Column ×2

bacteriostatic water. That is the whole post, but I will justify it.

Everything else people worry about in c/intlshipping is downstream of it. Titration speed, early fullness, the endless dose arguments — most of it resolves if you sort bacteriostatic water out first, and almost nobody does.

I say this having got it wrong for 17 months. My eGFR was the thing that eventually made me pay attention, which is a stupid way to learn a lesson that was in the sidebar the whole time.

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

Removed a chain here. The rule is one line long and it is not negotiable.

swirl, do not shake, or you are courting oxidation

dosing errors come from people reconstituting two vials differently and forgetting which is which

Are you using a u-100 or u-40 syringe? That changes everything.

This is correct. 3mL versus 18mL is the common mistake.

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

Spent 22 weeks confused about concentration math until someone showed me the table. 10mg, 3mL, concentration is 10/3.

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

stopper coring on the 5th draw because you keep using the same entry point. rotate.

dead space is real and the syringe matters

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

the concentration on the vial in marker is the most important step

This is correct. 2mL versus 7mL is the common mistake.

never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration

I am going to push back on this slightly.

more water means more units for the same dose, which means finer resolution

Show the arithmetic. Where did the units come from?

About c/reconstitution

The arithmetic and the technique. Bacteriostatic versus sterile water, reconstitution volume as a concentration choice, converting mg/mL into insulin-syringe units, dead space, swirl-not-shake, stopper coring, and how long a reconstituted vial is actually good for. Math errors get corrected fast and politely.

  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
