comment on [Meta] the tier 3 rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/glp1uk · 57 points · 1 year ago

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

Boots stock is hit-and-miss by location

Yes, exactly this, and it is the bit that took me 83 weeks to accept.

NHS tier 3 is pricing, the waiting list is real

Strongly agree. pricing is region-specific.

comment on why does nobody talk about lipids in c/bloodwork · 15 points · 1 year ago

Strongly agree.

Disagree on that part. 98.1% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

Respectfully this is a sample of one presented as a finding.

Week 8 for me and the honest summary is: 39kg down, injection-site soreness manageable, and I have thought about food maybe four times today.

ApoB from 21 to 31 is movement, not noise

A1c moves slowly, quarterly is plenty

eGFR noise on rapid loss is real. 5 week noise, 20 week trend. Do not panic at week 65.

Maintenance for 22 months now. Weight moves within about 3kg and the dose is a quarter of what it peaked at.

pharmacy stock is tier 3, check before traveling

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.

ferritin tanks quietly on a reduced appetite, check it

My ALT went from 15 to 18 in 63 weeks. The eGFR story shows up in the trend, not the single number.
