c/vendorvetting wiki

Everything you would otherwise have to learn by getting a post removed. Independent testing, order records and receipts. Claims need evidence.

What this community is for

The community due-diligence desk. Vendor experiences, independent third-party test results, shipping and reship records, and the boring paperwork that separates a supplier from a story. Every substantive claim is expected to carry a receipt: an order id, a dated screenshot, or a test report from Janoshik, Medutest, PeptideMeter or VendorInvestigate.

c/vendorvetting was created on 14 Aug 2023 and currently has 96,400 members and 130 captured submissions. It sits in the busiest tier of the site, which mostly affects how fast a question gets answered rather than how well.

The one-line version

Independent testing, order records and receipts. Claims need evidence.

Rules, and why each exists

Community rules come first, then the six site-wide rules that apply everywhere on GLP Research Hub. Community rules are enforced by the moderators listed at the bottom of this page; site rules are enforced by everyone.

  1. One vendor per post. Multi-vendor comparisons go in the monthly comparison thread.
  2. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Zero tolerance, permanent ban.
  3. Positive and negative reports both need the same evidence standard: order date, product, and what was tested.
  4. Vendor staff must self-identify. Undisclosed vendor accounts are banned on sight.

And the site rules, which are short on purpose:

  1. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  2. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  3. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  4. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  5. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  6. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.

Terms you will see

Vocabulary that turns up constantly in c/vendorvetting. Each links to the topic page, which collects every submission that touches it.

  • vendor — a supplier. On this site, an entity with a source page and a verification log.
  • testing — sending a vial you received to an independent service and publishing the result.
  • Janoshik — independent testing service, the most-used by members here.
  • Medutest — independent testing service, often used as a second opinion.
  • PeptideMeter — independent testing plus published vendor-level trend data.
  • VendorInvestigate — independent verification and testing write-ups.
  • reship — a replacement shipment after loss or damage; a strongly underrated differentiator.
  • order records — dates, order ids and screenshots — the evidence standard in c/vendorvetting.

Asked constantly

If your question is on that list, read the answers there first. If it is not, ask it — that is what the community is for, and "this has been asked" is only a helpful reply when it comes with a link.

Who runs this

Moderation here is done by volunteers who also post as normal members. They are not clinicians, not vendors, and not paid.

  • u/ledger_mod — c/vendorvetting + c/scamalerts mod. Every claim needs a receipt or it gets a [needs source] flair.
  • u/receipts_or_nothing — Screenshot, date, order id, or it did not happen.
  • u/paper_trail_paula — Company registration numbers, not vibes.
  • u/batch_number_bertie — Same batch number on two different vendors means one thing and it is not good.
  • u/janoshik_junkie — I pay for third-party tests so you do not have to. Results posted regardless of outcome.

Wiki pages are community-maintained summaries, not clinical guidance. If a wiki page and your clinician disagree, your clinician wins.
