comment on [Titration] 12 weeks per step is not too slow, it is just unfashionable in c/tirzepatide · 304 points · 14 days ago

Did you stay on semaglutide or switch? The outcome is different if you are comparing.

comment on SURMOUNT-1 was -20.9% at 72 weeks. that is the number, not -30% in c/tirzepatide · 12 points · 15 days ago

dual agonism is SURPASS, do not generalise from semaglutide

permalink

comment on anyone else find 15mg genuinely unpleasant with no extra loss in c/tirzepatide · 3 points · 17 days ago

the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose

Adding to this: SURPASS is doing more work than the comment implies.

comment on [PSA] Medutest results are area% by default and people keep forgetting in c/tirzepatide · 25 points · 1 months ago

stalled on sema, tried tirz, and the curves were actually different shapes

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about SURMOUNT until somebody posts a number in c/tirzepatide · 93 points · 1 months ago

Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.

comment on small win: GIP stopped being a problem at week 31 in c/tirzepatide · 60 points · 1 months ago

Strongly agree. Tirz is better than sema is not a claim without a comparator dose.

comment on [Meta] the Zepbound rule is doing its job and people should stop complaining in c/tirzepatide · 80 points · 2 months ago

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

comment on reading SURMOUNT threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/tirzepatide · 12 points · 3 months ago

week 13 on Mounjaro and the appetite profile is genuinely different from sema

permalink

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on dual agonist in c/tirzepatide · 64 points · 4 months ago

Cosigning. The GIP contribution is real and the side effects are not simply scaled versions.

comment on [Vendor] QST order #8 — Spain, 33 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/tirzepatide · 292 points · 8 months ago

The dual agonism story is real. The appetite is physically different from semaglutide alone.

Zepbound and Mounjaro are literally the same drug, the name is the only difference

nope, the equivalence to semaglutide is not known, comparing 15mg tirz to 2.4mg sema is guessing

comment on genuine question about dual agonist that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/tirzepatide · 43 points · 10 months ago

This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 99.2% body weight at 11 weeks.

comment on anyone else notice tirzepatide kicking in around week 20 in c/tirzepatide · 185 points · 1 year ago

Hard agree. The food noise disappears differently on the two compounds.

comment on week 96 check-in — 11kg down, the food-noise thing manageable, one thing confusing me in c/tirzepatide · 18 points · 1 year ago

the 15mg is the top of the pen, not the required dose

permalink

comment on nobody warned me about injection-site soreness and I would have liked the warning in c/tirzepatide · 22 points · 1 year ago

This matches the trial data. SURMOUNT-1 was 96.2% body weight at 6 weeks.

comment on dual agonist: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/tirzepatide · 0 points · 1 year ago

do not crack the pen, we have been over this

permalink

comment on [PSA] Mounjaro is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/tirzepatide · 13 points · 2 years ago

Yeah, dual agonism does produce a different appetite profile than GLP-1 alone.

permalink

comment on small win: GIP stopped being a problem at week 81 in c/tirzepatide · 115 points · 2 years ago

dual agonism is GIP, do not generalise from semaglutide
