comment on week 71 check-in — 6kg down, constipation manageable, one thing confusing me in c/reconstitution · 55 points · 1 months ago

bacteriostatic and sterile water are not interchangeable, do not use them that way

comment on someone explain LC-MS to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/hplc · 8 points · 1 months ago

Yeah, the chromatogram profile matters more than the headline number.

comment on 2 months in and mg/mL is still the thing I get wrong in c/reconstitution · 121 points · 1 months ago

Slight fix: the number was 99.1, not 99.0. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.

comment on why does nobody talk about Ozempic in c/semaglutide · 2 points · 2 months ago

Ozempic versus Wegovy versus research grade is the wrong argument, they are literally the same molecule

no doxxing, company registration is fine, individuals are not

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about fatigue in c/sideeffects · 13 points · 2 months ago

Disagree.

Disagree on that part. 95.1% and 99.3% on the same vial is normal.

early fullness at 15mg is different from 1.7mg

I am going to push back on this slightly.

sock puppet accounts ask the same leading questions

comment on [Lab] 19th independent test on TFC, and the trend is the interesting part in c/semaglutide · 22 points · 2 months ago

This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.

comment on genuine question about incretin that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1science · 115 points · 2 months ago

Where does the incretin data actually come from?

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about discontinuation in c/tapering · 35 points · 2 months ago

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

do not extrapolate rodent data to human dosing without saying so

co-elution is real and HPLC is usually not enough to resolve it

comment on sulphur burps is the most under-discussed thing in c/orforglipron in c/sideeffects · 9 points · 2 months ago

hair loss is real and usually reversible when you stabilize

permalink

comment on stalled for 19 weeks at 0.5mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/glp1muscle · 1 points · 2 months ago

Rodent data is rodent data. Dose scaling is not linear and the models tell you what to investigate, not what to expect.

comment on Germany: first time, and what it actually costs here in c/newbiequestions · 7 points · 2 months ago

Dead space in the needle hub holds a small but non-trivial volume. On low-volume draws that can be several units.

comment on 6 months in and gradient is still the thing I get wrong in c/hplc · 156 points · 2 months ago

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with LC-MS, not with what you concluded.
