comment on genuine question about incretin that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/glp1science · 25 points · 2 months ago

receptor distribution matters, GLP-1 is not everywhere

13 months, 18kg, goal

comment on week 51 check-in — 26kg down, fatigue manageable, one thing confusing me in c/semaglutide · 39 points · 2 months ago

Right, and the corollary is that stopping escalation does not reset your tolerance, it just pauses the clock.

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with non-scale victory, not with what you concluded.

Crossposting this to c/cryptopay because the people who need it are not reading this community.

nope, 0.25 counts, it is just not the dose most people stay on

Which paper are you quoting?

comment on [PSA] what is is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/newbiequestions · 128 points · 4 months ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on am I the only one who found half-life harder than the injections in c/glp1science · 10 points · 5 months ago

Receptor distribution explains why injection-site soreness hits gastric emptying but not incretin.

comment on help me understand 2.4mg, I have read the wiki twice in c/semaglutide · 65 points · 5 months ago

Did anything else change in the same window? Sleep, protein, steps, anything?

comment on [Question] New Zealand — has anyone got a straight answer on glycaemic control in c/t2dglp1 · 100 points · 5 months ago

Inter-lab variance on this kind of assay is routinely 1–2 points. Different column, different gradient, different integration.

comment on protein is the most under-discussed thing in c/cagrilintide in c/glp1muscle · 11 points · 6 months ago

The thing nobody prepared me for was the quiet. Not the appetite, the quiet. The constant negotiation in my head about food just stopped.

permalink

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about titration in c/semaglutide · 4 points · 6 months ago

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.

comment on 21 months in and pharmacology is still the thing I get wrong in c/glp1science · 1 points · 6 months ago

the half-life is pharmacology, affects steady state timing
