comment on [Discussion] bacteriostatic water is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/reconstitution · 55 points · 3 months ago

Water content matters more than people think. If a vial is carrying residual moisture, your "10mg" is not 10mg of peptide.

STEP, SURMOUNT, SURPASS, SELECT, FLOW, TRIUMPH — read the appendix

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

This is what I tell everyone in c/newbiequestions and they never believe me until week 78.

comment on anyone else notice concentration kicking in around week 40 in c/reconstitution · 6 points · 5 months ago

u-100 syringe, not u-40, or your math is off by factor of 23

20mg vial, 2mL water, concentration is 20/2 — write it on the vial afterwards

i am begging people to write down the concentration

Did you write the concentration on the vial?

permalink

comment on genuine question about hazard ratio that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/trialwatch · 75 points · 6 months ago

event rates are more informative than hazard ratios alone

Small correction: the trial was 11 weeks, not 7. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

never post a calculation as advice without stating the concentration

comment on what would you tell week-1 you about titration in c/semaglutide · 7 points · 6 months ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on 4 months in and dead space is still the thing I get wrong in c/reconstitution · 197 points · 6 months ago

Yeah, showing the arithmetic is the fastest way for someone to spot the error.

comment on timeframe: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/progresspics · 9 points · 7 months ago

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

comment on weekly dosing is the most under-discussed thing in c/labresults in c/semaglutide · 79 points · 8 months ago

Lost 22kg and gained a genuinely irritating amount of interest in analytical chemistry. This site did that to me.

You have restated the marketing copy. What is the actual substance here.

comment on small win: hazard ratio stopped being a problem at week 51 in c/trialwatch · 14 points · 9 months ago

phase 2 is not phase 3, smaller n and shorter trial

comment on small win: hazard ratio stopped being a problem at week 51 in c/trialwatch · 108 points · 9 months ago

Strongly agree. Phase 2 is investigational, not conclusive.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for 2.4mg posts in c/semaglutide · -11 points · 11 months ago

Disagree but this is the good kind of wrong — it is specific enough to be checked.

permalink

comment on 7 months in and titration is still the thing I get wrong in c/semaglutide · 77 points · 1 year ago

the 2.4mg dose is not the target, it is just what the pen goes up to
