comment on unpopular opinion: chromatogram is massively overrated in c/hplc · 29 points · 4 months ago

Yeah, the chromatogram profile matters more than the headline number.

Not convinced. The evidence does not support that reading.

comment on reading purity threads from 2024 and half of it aged badly in c/hplc · 19 points · 5 months ago

two labs, two different baselines, two different purity numbers, both honest

comment on stalled for 5 weeks at 0.25mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/newbiequestions · 7 points · 6 months ago

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

comment on three years of week one threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/newbiequestions · 47 points · 7 months ago

The injection was scarier than the what is itself. 3 seconds and I was shocked it was the easiest part.

Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.

comment on [PSA] receptor is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/glp1science · 2 points · 8 months ago

This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

comment on [Results] 67 weeks, 26kg, and gradient was the hard part in c/hplc · 175 points · 8 months ago

state the method: column, gradient, detection wavelength, injection volume

comment on the appetite thing finally clicked for me and I want to write it down in c/glp1science · 84 points · 9 months ago

Strongly agree. Central appetite is real but people overstate it.

comment on genuine question about gradient that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/hplc · 96 points · 10 months ago

two labs, two different baselines, two different purity numbers, both honest

comment on [Question] Ireland — has anyone got a straight answer on rules in c/meta · 76 points · 10 months ago

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

comment on what is: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/newbiequestions · 213 points · 11 months ago

Yeah, that is totally normal for week 9.

comment on 21 months in and HPLC is still the thing I get wrong in c/hplc · 222 points · 11 months ago

Yeah, the chromatogram profile matters more than the headline number.

comment on [Vendor] WXT order #17 — Germany, 9 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/glp1science · 53 points · 1 year ago

do not extrapolate rodent data to human dosing without saying so

permalink

comment on week 16 check-in — 37kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/hplc · 33 points · 1 year ago

instrument quality is less important than analyst consistency

permalink

comment on 3 months in and chromatogram is still the thing I get wrong in c/hplc · 199 points · 1 year ago

Strongly agree. Largest single impurity tells a different story than total purity.

Small correction: the trial was 2 weeks, not 11. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

comment on tried method development for 12 weeks. here is what happened. in c/hplc · 1 points · 1 year ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 6–5.

Counter-anecdote: opposite result, same dose. Which mostly tells us the variance is huge.

comment on [Question] Australia — has anyone got a straight answer on what is in c/newbiequestions · 144 points · 1 year ago

week two nothing happening — yes, that is normal

permalink

comment on [Discussion] chromatogram is doing more work than we give it credit for in c/hplc · 174 points · 1 year ago

Small correction: the trial was 6 weeks, not 9.

Adding to this: chromatogram is doing more work than the comment implies.
