This is the "correlation is mechanism" thing again. You changed three variables at once.

Strongly agree. The regain is expected.

swirl, do not shake, or you are courting oxidation

this should be in the wiki

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify reconstitution in c/reconstitution · 46 points · 9 months ago

bacteriostatic and sterile water are not interchangeable, do not use them that way

comment on discontinuation: what the trials say vs what this community says in c/tapering · 251 points · 9 months ago

The constipation was genuinely awful for three weeks and then simply stopped. I know that is not useful information, but it is what happened.

regulatory status changed in 6 countries, check yours

comment on why does nobody talk about dead space in c/reconstitution · 279 points · 10 months ago

Cosigning. The concentration on the vial in marker is load-bearing.

comment on mg/mL: the version I wish someone had shown me in week 1 in c/reconstitution · 107 points · 10 months ago

Dead space ate 6 units on a low-volume draw. Tiny impact at 1.0mg, massive impact at 1.7mg.

comment on genuine question about tapering that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/tapering · 2 points · 11 months ago

The confident tone is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify insulin syringe in c/reconstitution · 160 points · 12 months ago

Cored the stopper on my 6th draw because I kept using the same entry point. Rotate the puncture site.

What was the batch number and which service?

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for bacteriostatic water posts in c/reconstitution · 65 points · 1 year ago

more water means more units for the same dose, which means finer resolution

comment on [Results] 32 weeks, 45kg, and regain was the hard part in c/tapering · 80 points · 1 year ago

cite the discontinuation data rather than guessing regain rates

comment on tried interval stretching for 5 weeks. here is what happened. in c/tapering · 1 points · 1 year ago

say how long you were on and at what dose before taper

permalink

comment on someone explain bacteriostatic water to me like I have not read a paper in years in c/reconstitution · 273 points · 1 year ago

This is correct. 3mL versus 2mL is the common mistake.

permalink

comment on anyone else notice units kicking in around week 4 in c/reconstitution · 1 points · 1 year ago

This is correct. 1mL versus 21mL is the common mistake.

permalink

comment on [Discussion] can we stop arguing about appetite return until somebody posts a number in c/tapering · 125 points · 1 year ago

Has anyone actually got this in writing, or is it forum lore at this point?

permalink

comment on tapering vs regain — genuinely asking which matters more in c/tapering · 51 points · 1 year ago

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 20–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

Yeah, glycaemic control is the original use.
