comment on [PSA] ALT is not what most of this community thinks it is in c/bloodwork · 179 points · 10 months ago

This is correct. ApoB is the better marker.

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for units posts in c/reconstitution · 26 points · 11 months ago

This is correct. 2mL versus 22mL is the common mistake.

the food-noise thing stops around week 54 for most people

This is correct. The injection-site soreness is horrible for three weeks and then just ends.

comment on stalled for 23 weeks at 2.4mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/semaglutide · 444 points · 1 year ago

Lost 19kg and gained a genuinely irritating amount of interest in analytical chemistry. This site did that to me.

The thing nobody prepared me for was that the appetite does not come back for a long time after you stop.

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

comment on [Results] 42 weeks, 30kg, and hair loss was the hard part in c/sideeffects · 34 points · 1 year ago

nausea on day 2 is normal, nausea after week 14 is worth checking

permalink

comment on genuine question about titration that I am slightly embarrassed to ask in c/semaglutide · 35 points · 1 year ago

This matches my experience almost exactly on the Ozempic pens. The titration is the whole point.

comment on switched from 1.0mg to 2.5mg and the sulphur burps got better, not worse in c/sideeffects · 69 points · 1 year ago

Is that before or after you stabilized your reflux?

comment on [Vendor] WXT order #18 — the Netherlands, 5 days, no drama, receipts inside in c/reconstitution · 200 points · 1 year ago

Did you write the concentration on the vial?

permalink

comment on [Meta] proposal — a flair for ferritin posts in c/bloodwork · 55 points · 1 year ago

Yeah, baseline matters more than any later number.

comment on what changed for me between week 10 and week 53 in c/semaglutide · 0 points · 1 year ago

the fatigue passes. i promise. not medical advice.

comment on stalled for 4 weeks at 2.4mg and I refuse to panic this time in c/sideeffects · 43 points · 1 year ago

IANAD and neither is anyone upvoting this

permalink

comment on my TSH moved and I cannot work out whether plateau is why in c/semaglutide · 15 points · 1 year ago

Disagree. What you are describing is consistent with titration, not with what you concluded.

permalink

comment on reconstitution — my 21-week log, condensed into one table in c/reconstitution · 57 points · 1 year ago

The practical rule people converge on is 28 days at fridge temperature after first puncture, and that comes from the preservative, not the peptide.

comment on week 76 check-in — 46kg down, early fullness manageable, one thing confusing me in c/sideeffects · 7 points · 1 year ago

Not to be pedantic but gallbladder and fatigue are being used interchangeably and they are not interchangeable in real life.

permalink

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify units in c/reconstitution · 660 points · 1 year ago

more water means more units for the same dose, which means finer resolution

permalink

comment on [Discussion] we are measuring bacteriostatic water at the wrong time and calling it noise in c/reconstitution · 105 points · 1 year ago

Slight fix: the number was 97.6, not 98.1. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
