comment on FLOW got published and nobody in here is talking about eGFR slope in c/trialwatch · 15 points · 2 days ago

Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 13.

Adding to this: SELECT is doing more work than the comment implies.

Yeah, absolute numbers matter more than the press release.

off-label use data is different from approved-indication data

Phase 2 TRIUMPH looked amazing. Phase 3 trials are harder. Do not anchor on phase 2 readouts.

comment on regulatory is the most under-discussed thing in c/meta in c/bpc157 · 12 points · 2 months ago

That is net peptide content, not purity. Different number, different meaning.

Half-life is about 168 hours, so steady state lands around week 22–5. Practical consequence: what you feel in week 1 is not what that dose does.

comment on France: BPC-157, and what it actually costs here in c/bpc157 · 12 points · 3 months ago

Ireland here. Waited 12 months on a list, gave up, went private, and the total cost was roughly what I expected.

the 16 week readout is different from the 20 week readout

comment on [Question] how do you actually verify rodent data in c/bpc157 · 1 points · 5 months ago

Yeah, rodent data does not scale to humans.

Disagree on that part. 98.7% and 98.9% on the same vial is normal.

Stalled for 11 weeks, changed nothing, and it started moving again on week 86.

the relative risk reduction in headlines is not the whole story

This is correct.

Disagree on that part. 96.8% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

number-needed-to-treat is the house dialect

Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 96.2% on the same vial is normal.

comment on regulatory is the most under-discussed thing in c/vendorvetting in c/bpc157 · 22 points · 1 year ago

This is correct. The naming is genuinely confusing.

comment on anyone else notice SURPASS kicking in around week 19 in c/trialwatch · 31 points · 1 year ago

Small correction: the trial was 5 weeks, not 18. Does not change your point but people will quote it.

comment on three years of SURMOUNT threads, summarised so you do not have to read them in c/trialwatch · 100 points · 1 year ago

Slight fix: the number was 99.3, not 93.7. Decimal point, but a fairly consequential one.
