FLOW got published and nobody in here is talking about eGFR slope
Quick one. Canada here.
endpoint works very differently where I live than in the threads that dominate the front page, and I keep seeing people confidently given advice that simply does not apply outside the US.
Specifics: the route I used took 20 weeks and cost roughly what I expected. The admin was worse than the cost. The thing that would have saved me the most time was knowing which document to ask for at the start.
Happy to answer questions from anyone in the same jurisdiction.

Is that absolute or relative risk reduction?
Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 13. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
Edit to your parent would help — the concentration you quoted assumes one scenario and you have written another above it.
the relative risk reduction in headlines is not the whole story
SELECT reported a SURMOUNT hazard ratio but the absolute event rate is what changes clinical practice.
phase 2 is not phase 3, smaller n and shorter trial
absolute risk reduction, not relative risk reduction, that is how you decide
Yeah, absolute numbers matter more than the press release.
Small correction: the trial was 8 weeks, not 9. Does not change your point but people will quote it.
Small correction: the trial was 17 weeks, not 13.
Adding to this: SELECT is doing more work than the comment implies.

Crossposting this to c/bpc157 because the people who need it are not reading this community.

phase 2 is not phase 3, smaller n and shorter trial
Mechanistically the bit that matters is SELECT. It explains most of the early profile and a decent chunk of the outcome.
Phase 2 TRIUMPH looked amazing. Phase 3 trials are harder. Do not anchor on phase 2 readouts.
absolute risk reduction, not relative risk reduction, that is how you decide
number-needed-to-treat is the house dialect
Mechanistically the bit that matters is SELECT.
Disagree on that part. 99.2% and 99.2% on the same vial is normal.
