[Results] 26 weeks, 9kg, and dual agonist was the hard part

Resultsbranch of 9 comments

26 weeks, 9kg, and dual agonist was the hard part. Full detail below, and I have tried to keep the editorialising out of it. To save the first four comments: 26 weeks and 9kg. Yes. I stepped to 12.5 because the calendar said so, not because anything needed fixing, and I regretted it for a fortnight.

Small fix: SURMOUNT is the obesity programme, SURPASS is the type-2 programme. They are different endpoints and the numbers do not transfer.

Correction to my own post above — I said 12.5mg and I have been on 12.5mg since the spring. Same argument, wrong number.

Sulphur burps for the first eight days after each step, then nothing. Predictable enough that I planned my week around it.

sulphur burps are the signature complaint and they are not dangerous

About c/tirzepatide

Tirzepatide-specific discussion: the dual-agonist pharmacology, the 2.5 → 15mg ladder, the appetite profile people describe as different from semaglutide, and the SURMOUNT/SURPASS trial programme. Comparisons with semaglutide are welcome as long as they are specific about dose equivalence being unknown.

c/tirzepatide rules
  1. "Tirz is better than sema" needs a comparator dose or it is a vibe, not a claim.
  2. Vial-splitting and self-compounding discussion stays in c/reconstitution.
  3. No pen-cracking tutorials. Discussing that people do it is fine; instructions are not.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.
