help me understand tapering, I have read the wiki twice
help me understand tapering, I have read the wiki twice. Searched first, found three threads that contradict each other, hence the post.
Stopped for cost reasons. Appetite came back at about week 24, well before the scale moved, exactly as this board said it would.
There is very little published guidance on stopping specifically, which is exactly why board consensus here should carry less weight than usual and a clinician conversation should carry more.
Interval stretching lowers the trough concentration while keeping the dose; dose reduction lowers the level while keeping the rhythm. They are different interventions with different subjective profiles.
Would rather be corrected in public than confident in private.
best — the order this archive was captured in
Withdrawal studies across this class consistently show substantial regain after discontinuation, with appetite typically returning before weight changes. That is a description of the pharmacology of a chronic condition.

That reads as advice to stop, which is not something anyone here should be offering.
Pointing the clinical part of this at somebody qualified. The experience part can stay here.
Stretched from seven days to ten to twelve over four months. Appetite told me where the limit was each time.
Have you had the conversation with a clinician yet?
stopping is a plan, not an event
interval stretching is the most commonly described approach here
watch appetite, not the scale, for the first month
Correcting myself upthread: appetite returned at week 8 for me, not the week I posted.
