genuine question about reflux that I am slightly embarrassed to ask

Resolvedbranch of 14 comments

genuine question about reflux that I am slightly embarrassed to ask. I am not trying to be the "source?" guy. I would just like a source. The pattern almost everyone here describes, written out once so it can be linked. A step up is followed by a rough window — commonly constipation arriving the day after the shot…

Mine settled at week 25 and has not come back since, across two more steps.

Yes — the day-two-to-day-four window is so consistent across this board that it is almost diagnostic.

if it is severe or persistent that is a clinician question, not a board question

Correction: that is a known effect of reduced intake rather than a direct drug effect. The distinction matters because the fix is different.

Kept a one-line-a-day log for two months. The pattern was obvious on paper and invisible in my head.

sulphur burps are unpleasant and they are not dangerous

Disagreeing with this one line: that symptom is not on the wait-and-see list and should not be posted as though it is.

A symptom that begins the day after the shot and fades by day four tracks the exposure curve. One that appears at random in week 88 probably does not, and that is worth saying to a clinician rather than to us.

muscle cramps on day two and gone by day four is the standard shape

That symptom is not the one being described upthread. Two different things with similar names and the answers are not interchangeable.

This is the shape almost everybody here describes, and it is the single most reassuring thing in the thread.

Severe or persistent abdominal pain sits outside the pattern this board can usefully discuss. The honest answer there is that it needs someone who can examine you.

the food noise going quiet is the effect people came for, and reflux is the toll for the first fortnight

smaller meals, earlier, is the boring advice that works

About c/sideeffects

Side-effect experience and management, with a strong bias toward the ones that are common and boring (nausea, constipation, reflux, fatigue, sulphur burps) and a hard line on the ones that are not (severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, jaundice, vision changes). This community is not a substitute for urgent care and the mods will say so bluntly.

c/sideeffects rules
  1. Severe or escalating abdominal pain is an urgent-care question, not a forum question. We will lock those threads with a pointer to help.
  2. Describe your dose, your week number and your titration speed — otherwise nobody can help.
  3. No diagnosing strangers. Share what happened to you.
  4. Independent community. Nobody here sells anything, and anyone who tries is banned.
  5. Not medical advice. Describe what you did; never prescribe to a stranger.
  6. Claims need evidence. Batch numbers, dated screenshots, independent test reports, or a citation.
  7. No referral links, discount codes or affiliate URLs. Permanent ban, no appeal.
  8. No contact handles, wallet addresses or tracking numbers — they identify people.
  9. Be recognisably decent. Disagree hard, insult nobody.

Several compounds discussed on GLP Research Hub are sold for research use only and are not approved for human use anywhere. Nothing here is medical advice and none of it is written by your clinician. If a post reads like an instruction, treat it as a description of what one stranger did.
